May Recital and Sunday Night LIVE!
This is a reminder that this year’s annual Recital will occur on Sunday, May 21st, from 1-4 pm at Fred Astaire Dance Studios. This is a great opportunity for our students to display their talents in front of a Live audience. If any students have an interest in participating in the Recital, please let your instructors know now so that we can get everyone prepared to perform. The cost to participate in the Recital is $35 per family. Memorial Music will provide snacks and drinks for the event. We will also host our annual Sunday Night LIVE Rock Band Concert that same day from 5-7 pm. The bands are working very hard, and the songs are coming along very well. All parents, friends, and family members are welcome to attend the Concert.
Law Rocks Concert on 4/27!
This is an annual “Battle of the Bands” event that takes place at White Oak Music Hall. Memorial Music owner, Jordan Hudson, will perform with “The Contract Killers” on Thursday, April 27th. The Concert is open to anyone, and tickets to the event are $35. Each band raises money for a Non-Profit Organization of their choice. For the second consecutive year, we have decided to raise money for locally owned Belong Kitchen. Belong was created to provide dignified, meaningful, paid employment for adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) in a nurturing environment. Free Drum Set Giveaway!
Memorial Music is well known for selling great condition second-hand equipment. We make sure all gear is fit for your band before putting it on the showroom floor. If you’ve recently been inside our store, you couldn’t miss seeing that sweet-looking drum set right as you walk in the door. We are happy to announce that we will give this drum set away to one of our current students*. Just fill out an entry form and drop it into the Red box by the drum set. The set is around $800 new, as a well-conditioned used kit, it’s valued at $500. If you have any questions about how to enter the drawing, please ask someone at the counter. No cost to enter. A name will be drawn on Friday, April 21st. The winner will be notified.
*Must be a currently enrolled student.
