🌸 Spring Break Schedule Update – Memorial Music
Spring Break is almost here, and we hope all of our Memorial-area families are looking forward to a little extra rest and fun! As a reminder, Memorial Music will be closed for regular music lessons during Spring Break in alignment with the SBISD calendar. This break gives our students and teachers time to recharge and enjoy family time — whether you’re traveling or enjoying a staycation here in Houston.

🎸 Rock Band Students – Please Note!
We WILL still have Rock Band practice on:

If you’re signed up and available, we can’t wait to see you there! Rock Band is a special commitment, and these rehearsals help keep everyone performance-ready and building teamwork skills.

🎶 2026 Spring Recital – Save the Date!
We are excited to announce that our 2026 Spring Recital will take place on Sunday, April 12th at the University of St. Thomas, inside Cullen Hall. Our recitals are always a special day for students and families. It’s a chance for musicians of all ages to share what they’ve been working on, build confidence, and celebrate their progress together as a community.

- Date: Sunday, April 12th
- Time: 10:00am – 3:00pm
- Location: Cullen Hall at the University of St. Thomas
- Cost: $50 per family (Families with multiple siblings participating still pay just $50 total.)
🎼 Session Times
- Session A: 10:00am – 11:30am
- Session B: 11:45am – 1:15pm
- Session C: 1:30pm – 3:00pm

Registration Forms are now available at the front desk. Please be sure to submit your completed form no later than Saturday, April 4th. Students who do not register by this date will not be guaranteed a performance spot. We look forward to a wonderful day of music and celebrating all the hard work our students have put in this spring!
🎸 Free Monthly Group Class – March
Our free monthly group class for March will be held on Sunday, March 29th from 12:00pm–1:00pm with Jordan. All current students are welcome to attend!
What We’ll Be Learning
- First 30 minutes: The opening guitar riff to “Black Dog” by Led Zeppelin
- Last 30 minutes: The tapping section from “Eruption” by Van Halen
This is a great opportunity to explore some iconic rock techniques, build confidence, and have fun making music together. We hope to see you there!
